Pajarito Mountain is our local ski hill. They offer great skiing in the winter and lift-served mountain biking in the summer. Check them out: www.skipajarito.com
Perhaps my favorite part of Pajarito is their open-door policy to hikers. The public is always welcome to hike the hill at any time. I make good use of this policy in both the winter and summer, particularly when I'm training for climbing big mountains. The top of the Aspen lift is 10,330'.
It was finally time to introduce Kaj to the ski hill. Jess and I took him up there for a late evening climb on Sunday, June 7, 2009. Kaj reached the summit at 7pm sharp.
